What is Muslim fasting?
Fast is one of the five pillars of Islam. It comes in at number four. A Muslim remains hungry from dawn to evening. It is the ninth month of Islamic calendar. Muslim wake up at dawn and make breakfast. It is made with special things. Many foods are made for breakfast. Throughout the day he avoids eating and breaks the fast with fruits and many other delicious eatables. His whole day is considered as worship of god and beside it he prays five times a day. At night he offers a five time long prayer which is considered mandatory for Muslim. In this way he spends his whole month. In the dawn after keeping fast Muslim has to offer prayer. In the evening after breaking the fast, he offers evening prayer. So his whole month is considered as worship of which Muslim has to offer.
This month is called the month of blessing in Islam. Things are available in bazaars and markets in abundance. Muslim buy things at a low price. Dawn meals and evening meals are specially decorated. In bazaars Muslim puts beautiful lights and mosques also adorn with lights. So everything looks beautiful and handsome. So this is fasting which according to the prophet are source of blessing and pleasure for Muslim. They make Muslim happy and content.
